December sales were good considering many contracts were written during the holidays. Our busy season gets going in the winter and into the spring. The worse the weather is up north the better homes sales seem to be here in Ocala.

As I keep saying the market is changing. As someone who is out there showing other agents listings I see selection going down and prices going up. This is especially true of the lower priced homes. There was an overwhelming selection a couple of years ago and now it seems like I find a half dozen home to show in the 55+ communities where I spend most of my time.

There are still plenty of reasons to come to Ocala such as the weather. The slower pace of life compared to other parts of Florida. Not to mention that Ocala has never been hit by a hurricane.
