Marco Polo Village 55 plus

Marco Polo Village 55 plus is a different kind of Ocala retirement community.  It is not gated and there is no clubhouse, pool or other amenities. The homes are concrete block with stucco and are located on large 1/2 to 3/4 acre lots. Most homes are from the late 90’s to early 2000’s. Marco Polo 55 plus is basically a neighborhood of single family homes with deed restrictions that make it 55 plus. There is also a Marco Polo Village that is not 55 plus so it can be confusing if you don’t know the area. There is a minimal yearly HOA fee to cover common areas maintenance. Marco Polo 55 plus is located just off SR 200 and close to anything that you might want. Homes here are large and of high quality.

Marco Polo 55+ seldom has more than 2 or 3 active listings. There are similar non 55+ neighborhoods nearby. Quail Meadow is some what similar, 55+ single family homes on 1/4 acre lots.

I can’t find anything about Marco Polo Village. Who owns this Marco Polo Village? Can I get a contact number or email address so I may see the bylaws?

      Thanks for your comment.

Marco Polo 55+ is owned and managed by the residents. They are volunteers and don’t publish their contact info. Generally a buyer reads the bylaws just before making an offer. I sent you a link to the Clerk of Courts so you can see the bylaws that are a public record.

How does one get a hold of Home Owners Association? For questions regarding restrictions? Could you send me the link for by laws?
The question is: Are there restrictions on the BREED of dog allowed in the neighborhood?

We are a retired couple looking to rent a furnished home in Ocala for a few winter months (Jan./Feb.)in a 55+ community (one or two bedrooms). Could you send us any listings you might have.

I sent you the only 3 resales listed as of today.

Marco Polo 55+, not to be confused with the Not 55+ right next door, isn’t a very large community so there are seldom a lot of active listings.

If you want a single family home with 55+ deed restriction you could also consider Quail Meadow.

      Hi Barbara

I set you up a listing cart on the Ocala MLS to show every home in both Marco Polo 55+ and not 55+. You only got 4 listings. If you want to consider not 55+ homes in that SW 103 St Rd area there are several other communities with similar quality homes.

All 55+ in the Ocala except Marco Polo are on small lots less than .24 acre. No 55+ will let you park your RV next to your house or in the driveway. Most 55+ have an RV parking lot which is an extra cost. Most Not 55+ have deed restrictions to keep people from parking an RV or boat in their yard

At any given time there are a few homes for sale in Marco Polo 55+. Never a lot seeing the community is small. As of today homes range from $145K to $179K. Will send you listings

In Marco Polo there is no clubhouse. Any activities would be among neighbors in the community.

Quail Meadow does have a clubhouse but it is a small community and any activities would be organized by the residents. There is no employee who runs things or organizes activities.

I don’t see why not. There are pool homes in Marco Polo 55+. Lots are big with plenty of access. You probably need HOA permission.
