Ocala real estate market report for May 2013
As I’ve been saying for months now the Ocala Marion County real estate market has turned around. In May there were 518 sales. Each month now seems to be better than the last. Inventory is declining gradually. Foreclosure and short sales are steady but way down from a couple of years ago.
At some point in the not so distant future our market will shift from a buyers to sellers market. There has been almost no new construction and new new developments started since 2008. Once people start selling homes up north again our market will be flooded with buyers. The median home price in Ocala is $95,000-. The median home price in Florida is $171,000-. The median home price in the US is $208,700-. A sellers market is is inevitable.
Now is the time to buy. Call me, email me or use my Ocala Dream Home Finder.
