Ocala real estate market report for August 2013

August sales were down from July’s total of 533. That isn’t a surprise seeing those contracts would have been written 30 to 60 days prior and the summer is traditionally our slower season. What might be considered a mild surprise is that active listings are at their highest since January. With sales about 100 homes per month higher than 1 year ago you’d think listing would have gone down more by now. Maybe sellers who held off are now getting ready to sell and move on.
