Spruce Creek also referred to as Spruce Creek North is the original Del Web community in Ocala. It is located is SW Ocala just off SR 200 and close to restaurants, shopping and health care. Spruce Creek is not gated but does have a very nice clubhouse and pool. Homes here are site built, frame construction with aluminum or vinyl siding. Sizes are from 800 sq ft of living area to over 1800. Prices here are between $50,000- to $100,000-. Low HOA fees of $85- per month cover common area maintenance, clubhouse, trash pickup and night time security patrol.  Spruce Creek is a very nice, lower priced, retirement community.

Update 6/14 HOA fees and prices remain stable. A nice community if you are looking for a smaller lower priced home on a 1/4 acre lot just off SR 200 with all the shopping health care and restaurants.

If you would like a list of homes for sale in Spruce Creek fill out my Ocala Dream Home Finder, email me or call me. I will set you up a Listing Cart on the Ocala MLS for Spruce Creek.

  • Joe Dallorso says:

I Emailed you. I can’t help people without a price range and the size home that they are looking for

  • Jim Case says:

I do not see any outdoor antennas. I only watch off air TV no cable. Legally i know they can’t stop you from putting up an antenna but do not want to start a big fight if not necessary. Any restrictions on outdoor antennas. Looks like I should be able to receive Tampa, Orlando and Gainesville stations.

  • Joe Dallorso says:

I know there are antenna dishes for Direct TV. I assume you could have a roof top antennea but not a tower

  • MaryLee says:

Does this community have a golf course? We do not play and prefer an age qualified community that is not golf centered, but we do want a fitness center and clubhouse.
    Thank you.

  • Joe Dallorso says:

Spruce Creek North does not have a golf course. A golf course is not really relevant. Golf is never part of the HOA fees and most people who live in golf course communities don’t play golf. The golf course is a nice open green space though. All 55+ have a clubhouse, some sort of fitness facility and at at least 1 out door pool. Oak Run has an exceptional fitness center btw

What is the pet policy in Spruce CREEK North? We have a gentle giant , a great Dane, and probably will always have one. We want to buy in a 55 plus area that has at least a comm pool. Lookin for a 40 to 60 K resale

  • Joe Dallorso says:

Unfortunately deed restrictions regarding pets in many communities are very vague such as “2 small household pets”. This is further complicated by the fact that these rules are not always enforced but they don’t amend the restrictions either. You budget is very low even for Ocala and you find a house under $60K in Spruce Creek North or Palm Cay but I couldn’t guarantee that you wouldn’t have a problem with your dog.

Land is leased or belong to home owner.
We would like to see home with 3/2 and 1/4 ac of land,
Going visit area between 2/11-2/17.Will meet with RE agent if some good homes
will come alone. Home should be not older than 10 years.

  • Joe Dallorso says:

You own the land in every 55+ in this area except On Top of the World
Homes in Spruce Creek are all older most from the 80′s
Homes less than 10 yrs old start at $150K and go up fast from there
Newer homes are also on smaller lots than older homes
    Will email you

  • Linda Keen says:

I have 3 small cats and am looking for a single home less than 150K. I won’t be ready foa another year or two at the most but Ocala looks like a wonderful small town, active community. Spruce Creek and Palm Cay have nice layouts , not too small and not too large. do you think the prices will drastically change in a year? ( the cats are indoor only)

  • Joe Dallorso says:

You should have no problem with your indoor cats in any 55+. Homes in Spruce Creek and Palm Cay are under $100K. If you want to be up to $150K you might consider other communities. I do think prices are going up it has already started.

  • Linda Keen says:

Thank you so much. I will look into both communities. They look like a lovely area.

  • Gary W. Bell says:

    Joe:

Just finished reading your blog. We are thinking of relocating to the Ocala, Leesburg area after living for 12 winters in Wesley Chapel, FL. Friends of our bought a home in Palm Cay last February and have told us about the park. In reading your blog, I think Palm Cay or Spruce Creek North would be two parks that we might be interested in. Our problem: we are in Maine right now at our summer home. We would like to find a rental in either of those parks for next winter which will give us time to check out the different homes for sale before we choose the “right one”. We would appreciate your help if possible, on finding a rental and your listings for those two parks. Thanks, Gary

  • Joe Dallorso says:

    Hi Gary

I don’t do rentals only sales. You don’t see much for seasonal rentals here just 12 month leases.
